LAW OF ATTRACTION

    NETFLIX...got to admit that it's pretty addictive. You just keep browsing and browsing, until you stumble upon something, watch it for 5 min, than browse again. I saw this "documentary" on Youtube a while back called "The Secret", thought it was some propaganda thing, got bored after I found out what the secret was 10 seconds. Than I saw it again on Netflix. I watched it for 10-15 minutes, also got bored. (Oh, full disclosure, "the secret" is the so called law of attraction).

   So basically this law of attraction is a manifestation of one's thoughts. It is a basic principle of a movement called.... New Thought. In short, if you think hard about something, the universe will respond and help you materialise that thought. So I thought hard about the one thing we all desire...money.  I kid you not, the next day I received the biggest bonus from my company in the 10 years I have been working there. I bevelieve now, I believe.

  Jokes aside the bonus was real, and I did think about money, like really focusing all my thoughts on a dollar bill. So it got me thinking. What if prayers work in the same way. 

  Basically prayers are just focused thoughts. Focusing on only one thought is a very hard thing to do. We see many people saying that they prayed and had their prayers answered. The only question is: who exactly answered those prayers, what if they were the ones that answered their own prayers. 

              

The Paranoia Theory

     

     During these past decades with all the global crisis going on hasn't anybody thought of what's going to happen? Overpopulation,lack of natural resources,less food,less drinking water,global warming ,economy going to pieces maybe and so on.

     Some guy, somewhere at some table , while drinking his coffee with no sugar and just a drop of milk, is thinking:

   "Hmmm , what the hell are we going to do about this?"

     And it's enough for one thought to put some wheels into motion in order to create something.

     "Do we have studies about this?" he asked ."We need more studies, we have to know what to do.We can't just sit here and drink coffee while the world goes to hell.How much resources do we have?...That's not enough,check who has some and let's start a war, it's for the good of the country.We need to preserve our way of life."

     Globalization,it has to be done one way or the other, but usually it's done in the way of the strongest party.

"Size doesn't matter" Theory

        
        Large populations confined in small habitats tend to get smaller individuals in future generations.Will the same thing happen to humans?I predict that if no natural or man-made disaster occurs in the next 200 years,and of course if natural resources including fresh water don't run out,the globe will be so populated that we will be forced to shrink in order to make room for ourselves.

     Ridiculous? I beg to differ.

The Repetition Theory

    

      Scientists say that soon we'll have no more original ideas.I say we are already passed that point.We have over 10,000 years of history and yet only less than 5,000 years are "recorded history".How do we know for sure that something we think of now,or we discover now,wasn't already discovered 7,351 years ago?

        We take old things and give them new meanings and that's about it.The only reason we consider inventing new things is because we easily forget the past.And copyright is a major problem nowadays.Not like we intentionally do it but it happens,and we are unaware of it.

       I'm almost certain that I am copying someone's ideas and posting them into my blog.I know it's like digging my own hole with that phrase but since I can't know for sure if I am the first to think like this (and I am probably not),it's a thought that I'm sticking with.

       When it comes to originality I wish I was born 1000 years ago.When it comes to knowledge I wish I was born 1000 years from now.When it comes to society and civilization I wish I was born 1000 light years away.

The Utopian Theory

     

       I've been meaning to write this for a while now,about Plato's Republic,about how we can create a truly modern society,about the future that mankind needs to go for.And as I'm thinking about this my mind wonders off (drifting away towards reality,one hell of a daydreamer I am) and I'm looking at my keyboard I realize that my PC is 5 years old,and there's this new MMO coming out this fall and I definitely need to buy a new PC.Just one problem: I lack the money.

The "dream" Theory

        I'm sure that everyone had a dream when he/she was little,like wanting to fly,wanting to be a certain superhero and so on.Let's analyze this for a moment.

         Supposing you grow wings like in the movies; you have wings and you are able to fly.Will that put an end to traffic?No more cars/plains?

The "what if" Theory

      
     What if there was an old man.What if that old man had a daughter.What if that daughter would want to stay beside her father despite her being lonely as well.What if her father would want her to get married and leave him alone.What if her daughter would refuse and say that she is in his debt because he raised her sacrificing his own personal life after his wife died.What if when returning one evening from a chess match in the park, her father would hear voices from outside their house.What if a young man would want to marry his daughter.What if she refused.What if the old man would feel ashamed and also sad because of it.What if he would want to suicide to ensure her daughter would live a normal life.What if he would want to throw himself on a railroad track,at a railroad crossing.What if you were driving a car too fast and you couldn't stop in time at the railroad crossing and you kill the old man instead of the train.That's murder you know??!!!

     Remember: traffic rules have a purpose ,don't disobey them !!!! :P

The Misinformation Theory

     And finally I manage to write the last and final post regarding the Global Conspiracy Theory.

     Misinformation is a very subtle and powerful tool to keep a large amount of the population in total darkness,by providing with a customized artificial light.Come to think of it I'm just rewriting what Plato said 2000 years ago in the "cave myth", well sort of anyway.(note:for whoever reads this and doesn't know about the "cave myth" ,well either google it or stop reading).

      I don't even need to write this post; US is currently in an educational crisis because due to lack of proper education the future of the economy is in peril.Why?

The Poverty Theory

       First of the 3 theories related to Global Conspiracy Theory posted earlier.
     Just to keep this non-related to world wide theories, I will try to explain  with few words the effects of poverty,poor education,misinformation and why are these issues so important in understanding the danger that is represented by our own kind.
      According to scientists, poor children are less capable than wealthier children.Joke?

Global Conspiracy Theory

      First I thought of making funny theories of the Universe,totally absurd ideas that only my idiotic brain could think of.But looking at the world around me I cannot stand without noticing how easy it is for some people to control it.

• Poverty
• Poor Education 
• Misinformation

      Why would people want that? Why not,in my honest and humble opinion this world is going to Hell if we aren't already there.If Hell exists well this is pretty much it.I am not a religious man, I believe in the laws of physics,chemistry,biology and all other sciences known and unknown to man to this date,but God help us because we cannot help each other or even ourselves.

The Raptor Jesus Theory

      
       Yeah I'm going to hell,but only if I choose a religion where hell exists.Such a big market out there.Hey Christianity how's it going,how's the crusades?

      You know the Orthodox Christian Church states that the Holy Scripture is only good if it's combined with the Holy Tradition.What's the Holy Tradition?I

Theories and Axioms

      When you're a kid you think your penis is just for peeing. When you're old you know that for sure.A perfect example of a theory and an axiom.But what is an axiom?Well an axiom or a postulate is basically a theory that doesn't have to be proven because it's true.

     For example the "parallel lines postulate",it's the 5th postulate of Euclid and it holds the basis to plane geometry that we all learn in school.

The MMORPG Theory

     
     For those who are yet unfamiliar with the term,MMORPG stands for massively multiplayer online role-playing game.This category of internet games includes names like World of Warcraft,Guild Wars,Lineage II,Cabal Online and many, many other names.The number of players is estimated as a 9 figure number.

The "Matrix" Theory

      
     We consider ourselves as intellectual beings, with rational thoughts and taking rational decisions throughout our life,or at least we try,or at least we think that way.

      The plot of the "Matrix" saga is quite simple: humanity trapped in a virtual world, a world so real that even for those outside it becomes hard to get "above" the normal laws and require special training to overcome something that is so rooted into their consciousness,distorting their perception of reality.

The "fountain of youth" Theory

    
      Many people confuse the "eternal youth" idea with immortality.That is wrong; the "eternal youth" concept refers to being/feeling young until the day you die.The modern conception of the fountain of youth is the discovery of the gene that causes old age.

     For those of you who don't know this yet ,yes old age is a disease itself caused by a gene or more. The discovery of this gene and thus rendering it inactive would probably offer eternal youth.

The Theory of Sex

     While "google"-ing certain theories in order to try and not post what others already stated and thus lose my individuality , I thought to type in "theory of sex", just for the heck of it.  For my effort the gods of Google search gave me this phrase on top of the list: "A third theory is that sex evolved as a form of cannibalism".... WOW !!!

     I knew that symbiosis evolved as a form of cannibalism and this is the reason why today we have mitochondrial DNA as separate DNA from the nucleus but sex evolving from cannibalism? 

     No doubt sex ended in cannibalism for a lot of species ,but thinking that we have sex because a billion years ago some cell thought it was kinky not to digest the whole DNA molecule of another cell that is pure win.

The Theory of Relativity

         
       Are we in the freaking Matrix? As far as I'm concerned everything is relative,besides time and space and distances or whatever.Easiest experiment:take 3 bowls of water;1 with hot water,1 with cold water and 1 with warm water.Keep 1 hand in the hot water and the other in the cold for about 5 minutes or less.Than put both your hands in the warm water.One hand will feel warm the other cold.

          We take for granted what information our receptors give us.The hand is quicker than the eye remember? We make movies about evil computers who have a killer logic,and yet our own decisions are based on relative information.

              I missed my post yesterday,I kept trying to post every tuesday (a day which the spelling checker doesn't like by the way) , don't know why,and I thought to myself why bother when somewhere in a parallel Universe I already have.

The Theory of Nothing

      I bet if you would try to imagine "nothing", it would look like an empty dark or white space. The thing is you can't imagine "nothing" like you can't imagine a line or a dot. In theoretical mathematics a line is a shape with only length and a dot has no dimensions. Some say if your mind could focus even for a fraction of a second on only one thing,that thing would actually materialize. Well that's a lie,I keep thinking about money all the time and that never happened.

       In the end it's funny how mankind tries to figure out the Universe,the Multiverse,how it tries to imagine God and Heaven and Hell, when it can't even imagine "nothing".

The "Yin-Yang" Theory

      There is only one sure thing in life and that is death.Why is it that we find having a child so wonderful when we actually condemn him to death by letting him live?And if death is just the beginning than why are we afraid of it?And if we aren't afraid of it than why do we even bother living or giving life? Are we just vessels for our own genes? Is our conscience just a mistake,or just an adaptation for better survival,useful only during our lifetime? That would suck, wouldn't it...
